Arsene Wenger Arsenal should end their 16 year love affair it just doesnt work anymore

Its not you, its me.. I love you; Im just not in love with you..Were just in two different places right now. We have all heard these lines before, when a relationship finally breaks down after so many years together, its best to try and end it on good terms with no-one getting hurt. And this is the way Arsene Wenger and Arsenal should end their 16 year love affair, with respect and dignity, but knowing that it just doesnt work anymore.When Wenger took over from Japanese side Grampus Eight in 1996, many people were questioning the mentality of the Arsenal board. But Wenger saw players who had raw talent in abundance and moulded them into some of the finest players the Premier League has seen. Despite Henry costing 10m from Juventus, which would still be deemed a relatively large fee in Wenger terms, he can lay claim to literally creating one of the most devastating forwards to play the game, such was his influence and impact on the player. And when these players left Arsenal, it was always for a healthy profit.So where did things start going wrong for Arsene and Arsenal? For years everyone believed in Wengers team for the future title that he gave to his team because it was very feasible that the future was rosy. But when you have big name players in your team, the present is more important than the future and waiting for a team to come to fruition when Wenger had provided the club with so much succe s was not what the fans wanted. And in 2007 Wenger lost one his best friends in the game when David Dein left the club. Dein was instrumental in helping Wenger bring in key players in Arsenals glory days. Though everyone recognised this was a sad day for the club, but maybe no-one knew how much of an impact his departure would have. Wenger clearly doesnt have anywhere near the same relationship with Stan Kroenke. He does back his manager in public, but there seems to be a lack of transparency with the funds available. Is the money available for Wenger to spend or is he working on more of a shoestring than the fans think?Even up until last summer there was still faith that the Frenchman had what it took to turn  Greg Monroe Jersey the side around, but losing Ray Allen Jersey  Fabregas seems to be the hammer blow for his tenure at the club. Other average players acquired such as Mertesacker, Andre Santos and Park Chu-Young have not made any real impact, and as easy as Mikel Arteta is on the eye, he is not quite good enough to make a decisive difference, as was apparent in the AC Milan Champions League 2nd round match.And then there is the man himself. Wenger always looked like a man with everything in place and confidence in his ability and his team that succe s was always going to be guaranteed. But in recent years that air of authority has begun to change. Wenger has always has always worked himself up into a state of righteous indignation when it came to decisions on the pitch, but in the past you always had a feeling Wenger knew what decision was right. But now it seems he cant tell whats right and whats wrong because he is so desperate to get a positive result for the club he so clearly loves. His idiosyncrasies are getting becoming Jabari Parker Jersey  too apparent to be ignored and his team wont want to see Wenger querying another decision that has gone against them when most can seethe decisionwas right.So after all the trophies and all the wonderful football, 2011/12 could be Wengers last season in charge at Arsenal. You get the feeling that the club will not get rid of him because of the pure respect of his achievements, but you also get the feeling Wenger will not leave the club either. But this relationship is clearly coming towards its end, and just like all relationships coming to an end, its never easy. But once the split is made you both move on, find someone else and end up happier for it, never forgetting the good times..
